LAD #9-Seneca Falls Convention
The Seneca Falls Convention was a meeting to for activists of women's rights to help improve women's rights. Their main leaders were Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony. In this convention, they discussed that in the Constitution they declare that all men are created equal, when it should be stated that all men and women are created equal. They stated that when the government was at wrong, it was up to the people to prove what is right, as they were doing with women's rights. Also, they listed the rights that they have been denied and sterotypes that they have been confined to. The writers are also thoughtful enough to offer what should be done, a list of demands that will equalize the rights between men and women and what the government can do to meet their desires. This convention was a major step in paving the way for women's rights to gain momentum and thrive into the changes that have occured today.
